Senior Software Engineer – (.NET Focus)

Location: Kerry, Ireland (Hybrid)

Job Type: Full Time | Permanent

Salary: 80 - 90k

Our Story

Our client's technology centre in Kerry supports a global organisation through the delivery of high-quality software solutions and critical business applications. Our cross-functional teams focus on modernising systems, driving digital transformation, and enabling innovative technology capabilities across the organisation.

We are now seeking a Senior Software Engineer to act as a technical leader within an Agile development team. This role will be central in designing and delivering modern .NET-based solutions across a key business portfolio. Working closely with technical leads and architects, you will influence solution design, evaluate emerging technologies, and provide hands-on expertise with strategic impact.

As a senior member of the team, you will also support junior engineers through mentorship, help improve engineering practices, and contribute to a culture of learning and continuous improvement.

The Role

  • Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of .NET (C#) solutions aligned with business goals.

  • Ensure high levels of application performance, quality, security, and scalability.

  • Guide the team in keeping technical documentation up to date and in maintaining strong coding standards.

  • Analyze and troubleshoot complex system issues and support the resolution of technical escalations.

  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical knowledge-sharing within the team.

  • Participate in code reviews, automated/manual testing, and CI/CD processes.

  • Collaborate with business analysts, QA, DevOps, and cross-functional partners to translate business needs into technically deliverable user stories.

  • Work with DevOps and infrastructure teams to enable smooth deployment pipelines, monitoring, and system upgrades.

  • Evaluate new tools, frameworks, and cloud technologies to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.

What You Offer

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

  • 6+ years of software development experience, preferably within Agile teams.

  • Strong expertise in .NET C#, including experience with modern frameworks and application architectures.

  • Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automation tooling.

  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and strong communication skills.

  • Passion for building high-quality, user-centric software.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure to API integration, cloud platforms (e.g., AWS), Terraform, or middleware technologies.

  • Experience working within complex or regulated environments.
